Bespoke Open-Plan Master Bedroom & Integrated Dressing Area

Project Overview

This innovative master bedroom project makes the absolute most of a large, vaulted space by employing a smart “half-and-half” layout. To maintain the bright, airy feel created by the high ceilings and skylights, a bespoke half-wall was constructed centrally in the room.

This architectural feature acts as a sturdy anchor for the plush, dark velvet headboard on the bedroom side, while completely concealing a dedicated vanity and dressing space behind it.

The sleeping zone is kept minimal and relaxing, featuring matching built-in bedside tables illuminated by elegant glass pendant lights. At the foot of the bed sits a custom-made, matching grey cabinet, cleverly designed with a lift-top panel to house a concealed television.

Stepping around the divider reveals a spectacular, fully fitted dressing room. The reverse side of the half-wall functions as a long, continuous dressing table with built-in drawer storage and a comfortable velvet stool. The true statement piece of this zone, however, is the expansive run of floor-to-ceiling wardrobes that span the entire length of the back wall.

Finished in a soft, contemporary grey with classic panelled detailing, the cabinetry offers a mix of hanging space and wide, deep drawers. Tall mirrored panels on the end units help to bounce natural light around the room, while long, polished chrome bar handles add a sleek, modern finishing touch.
